Your Voice. Your Device. Your Privacy. VoiceDay is designed to record audio using a compatible smartwatch and transcribe that audio locally on your mobile device, without requiring recordings to be uploaded to our servers for transcription.

1. Introduction

Welcome to VoiceDay ("VoiceDay," "we," "us," or "our"), developed and operated by Chongqing Weilitasi Technology Co., Ltd.

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information.

VoiceDay is a voice recording and transcription application designed to help users record audio using a compatible smartwatch and convert recordings into text directly on their mobile devices.

Privacy is a core principle of VoiceDay. Our goal is to keep your recordings and transcriptions under your control.

This Privacy Policy explains how information is accessed, processed, stored, and protected when you use VoiceDay and its associated smartwatch application.

By using VoiceDay, you acknowledge the data practices described in this Privacy Policy.

2. Our Privacy Principles

VoiceDay is designed around the following principles:

  • Local Transcription: Audio-to-text transcription is performed directly on your compatible mobile device.
  • Privacy by Design: Your recordings and transcriptions are not required to be uploaded to our servers for local transcription.
  • User Control: You can manage and delete your recordings and transcription results.
  • Data Minimization: We aim to access only the information necessary to provide the features you choose to use.
  • Transparency: We explain how information is processed and what permissions are needed.

We do not sell your voice recordings or transcription content to advertisers or data brokers.

3. Information We Process

3.1 Audio Recordings

When you use VoiceDay to record audio through your smartwatch or another supported recording feature, the application processes audio recordings to provide its core functionality.

Audio recordings may contain your voice, other people's voices, conversations, or other information captured during recording.

Audio recordings are stored on your device and may be transferred from your smartwatch to your paired mobile device to support transcription and recording management.

For local transcription, recordings are processed on your mobile device rather than being sent to our servers.

3.2 Transcription Content

VoiceDay converts audio recordings into written text using speech recognition technology running locally on your compatible device.

Transcription content may include conversations, personal notes, meeting discussions, and other information contained in your recordings.

Transcription content is stored locally within the application unless you choose to export, share, or otherwise transfer it using an available feature.

We do not require your transcription content to be uploaded to our servers to perform local speech-to-text conversion.

3.3 Device and Permission Information

VoiceDay may access certain device features and information when necessary to provide its functionality, including:

  • Microphone access for recording audio.
  • Connectivity between your smartwatch and paired mobile device.
  • Local device storage for saving recordings and transcription results.
  • Files selected by you for import or export, where supported.
  • Device capabilities and operating system functionality necessary for recording, transferring, and transcribing audio.

We request relevant system permissions when they are needed. You can manage applicable permissions through your device settings.

3.4 Information You Voluntarily Provide

If you contact us for support or provide feedback, we may process the information you voluntarily share, such as your email address, support request, and related correspondence.

Please avoid including sensitive recordings or personal information in support requests unless necessary.

4. How We Use Information

We process information to provide and maintain the functionality of VoiceDay, including:

  1. Recording audio through supported devices.
  2. Transferring recordings between your smartwatch and paired mobile device.
  3. Converting audio recordings into text locally.
  4. Displaying, organizing, and managing your recordings and transcriptions.
  5. Enabling user-initiated export or sharing, where supported.
  6. Responding to customer support requests.
  7. Maintaining the security, reliability, and proper operation of the application.

We do not use your recordings or transcription content to train our own artificial intelligence models.

We do not use the contents of your recordings or transcriptions for targeted advertising.

5. Local Audio Processing and Transcription

VoiceDay is designed to process audio transcription directly on your compatible mobile device.

When you initiate transcription:

  1. A recording is created or selected using a supported device.
  2. If recorded on your smartwatch, the audio is transferred to your paired mobile device.
  3. The mobile application processes the audio using local speech recognition technology.
  4. The resulting text is made available within VoiceDay.

The local transcription process does not require your audio recordings to be uploaded to our servers.

The availability and performance of local transcription may depend on your device model, operating system, available storage, and processing capabilities.

Internet access may be needed for certain functions unrelated to the processing of recording content, such as downloading the application, obtaining updates, or completing purchases.

6. Smartwatch and Mobile Device Data Transfer

VoiceDay supports recording audio on a compatible smartwatch and transferring recordings to a paired mobile device for transcription.

This transfer uses the connectivity and communication mechanisms supported by the relevant operating systems.

The purpose of this transfer is to make your recordings available on your mobile device for local transcription and management.

This device-to-device transfer does not require recording content to be uploaded to servers operated by Chongqing Weilitasi Technology Co., Ltd.

The availability and timing of transfers may depend on device connectivity, operating system behavior, and application permissions.

7. Data Storage and Retention

VoiceDay is designed to store recordings and transcription results locally on your devices.

Your recordings and transcriptions may remain available until you delete them, remove the application, or otherwise erase the relevant device data.

You can delete recordings and transcription results using the available application features.

Deleting an item from VoiceDay removes the corresponding data managed by the application, subject to operating system storage behavior and any separately retained copies.

Copies that you have exported, shared, or saved outside VoiceDay are not automatically deleted when you delete the original content within the application.

Device backups or synchronization services enabled at the operating system level may also affect whether copies of application data exist outside the application's local storage.

We recommend reviewing your device backup and synchronization settings if you wish to minimize the storage of recordings outside your device.

Support correspondence, if any, may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your inquiry, maintain support records, or meet applicable legal obligations.

8. Data Sharing and Disclosure

VoiceDay does not sell your recordings, transcription content, or personal information. We do not share your recording content with advertisers or data brokers.

Information may be disclosed only in limited circumstances, including:

8.1 Sharing Initiated by You

If you choose to export or share a recording or transcription using available application features, the information will be transferred to the destination you select.

Once shared, the handling of that information may be governed by the privacy policies and practices of the receiving application or service.

8.2 Platform and Operating System Services

VoiceDay relies on certain functionality provided by the operating systems and device platforms on which it runs.

Platform providers may process information independently in accordance with their own privacy policies when you use their services, including device backups, purchases, and system-level features.

8.3 Legal Requirements

We may disclose information in our possession if required by applicable law, legal process, or a valid request from a competent authority.

Because locally stored recordings and transcriptions are not required to be uploaded to our servers, we ordinarily do not possess copies of this content.

9. Data Security

We take privacy and security seriously and aim to minimize the exposure of recordings and transcriptions.

VoiceDay's security approach includes:

  • Local processing of audio for speech-to-text transcription.
  • Limiting access to device permissions required for application functionality.
  • Relying on supported operating system security mechanisms.
  • Allowing users to manage and delete recordings and transcription results.
  • Avoiding unnecessary transmission of recording content to developer-operated servers.

The security of locally stored data also depends on your device configuration, operating system protections, and how you manage access to your device.

We encourage you to use a device passcode, biometric authentication where available, and up-to-date operating system software.

Although we take reasonable steps to protect information, no electronic system can guarantee absolute security.

10. Third-Party Services

VoiceDay may rely on services provided by Apple or other platform providers to support application distribution, device connectivity, purchases, and operating system functionality.

Any information independently processed by those providers is subject to their applicable privacy policies.

For example, if you purchase VoiceDay through the Apple App Store, Apple may process payment and purchase-related information in accordance with Apple's privacy policies.

We do not receive your complete payment card details from Apple.

The local transcription feature is designed to operate without transmitting recording content to external cloud-based transcription services.

If we introduce additional third-party services that collect personal information, we will update this Privacy Policy to explain the relevant data practices.

11. Your Privacy Rights and Choices

You have control over how you use VoiceDay and manage the information stored within it.

Depending on your location and applicable law, your rights may include:

  • Access: You may access the recordings and transcription results available within the application.
  • Deletion: You may delete recordings and transcription results using the available application controls.
  • Export: You may export your content using supported features, where available.
  • Permission Management: You may change or revoke applicable system permissions through your device settings.
  • Withdrawal of Consent: Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent, subject to applicable legal requirements.
  • Privacy Inquiries: You may contact us to ask questions about how your personal information is processed or to exercise applicable data protection rights.

Certain rights may be subject to legal exceptions, and some requests concerning data stored exclusively on your device may need to be completed directly through the application or device controls.

12. Privacy Rights for Users in the European Economic Area and United Kingdom

For personal data that we process as a controller, Chongqing Weilitasi Technology Co., Ltd. is responsible for the processing described in this Privacy Policy.

Where the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), UK GDPR, or other applicable data protection legislation applies, our legal bases for processing personal data may include:

  • Performance of a Contract: Processing necessary to provide requested application features or support.
  • Consent: Processing based on permission or consent where legally required.
  • Legitimate Interests: Limited processing necessary for the security, operation, and improvement of our services, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.
  • Legal Obligations: Processing necessary to comply with applicable laws.

Subject to applicable requirements and exceptions, you may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to certain processing, and receive your personal data in a portable format.

You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with an applicable data protection supervisory authority.

For recordings and transcriptions processed and stored only on your own device, we may not have access to or control over those files.

13. International Data Transfers

If you contact us or otherwise provide information that we process through our business operations, that information may be handled in China or other locations where our authorized service providers operate.

Where required by applicable data protection laws, we will implement appropriate safeguards for international transfers of personal data.

The local audio transcription process itself does not require transferring recording or transcription content to our servers in China or elsewhere.

14. Children's Privacy

VoiceDay is intended for a general audience and is not specifically directed to children under the age of 13 or the minimum age required by applicable law.

We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children in violation of applicable child privacy laws.

If we discover that we have collected a child's personal information without the required authorization, we will take appropriate steps to delete that information where it is within our control.

Parents or guardians may contact us regarding any concerns about children's privacy.

15. Responsible Recording and Consent

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of VoiceDay complies with applicable laws and regulations.

Recording conversations may require the consent of one or more participants depending on your jurisdiction and the circumstances.

Before recording another person, please ensure that you have obtained any legally required consent or provided the necessary notice.

VoiceDay does not authorize unlawful recording, surveillance, or infringement of another person's privacy rights.

16. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our application, technology, legal requirements, or privacy practices.

When changes are made, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the beginning of this Privacy Policy.

If changes materially affect how we process personal information, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent where required by applicable law.

We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
